Printing a CD label on Epson R200

It can be troublesome getting the Epson R200 to print directly onto printable CDs and DVDs from OS X but the good news is, once you enter the correct settings, it works easily and flawlessly, and the CDs and DVDs you can produce look really nice!

Here are the steps to follow:

1. Build the image you want to print on the disc in the Epson Print CD program.
2. From within this app, go to File -> Page Setup, and set the following options:
* Format For: Epson Stylus R200 (Borderless Sheet Feeder)
* Paper Size: A4
3. Go to File -> Print, and set these options:
* Printer: Stylus Photo R200
* In the drop-down menu below Presets:
o Choose Print Settings
o Set Media Type to CD/DVD
o Set Mode to Automatic (make sure under the Advanced settings that all of the following are un-checked (not selected): Super MicroWeave (should be off), High Speed (should be off), Mirror image (should be off)

With these settings, and following the instructions in the manual about carefully lining up the arrows on the disc feeder tray, the printer works very well, and produces very nice looking discs with minimal time/work/effort.
