There are lots of examples of these type of apps for the iPhone and iPod Touch.<\/p>\n<p>Example applications are:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/campl.us\/\">Camera+<\/a> (one of my favourites for its versatility)<\/li>\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/eyeappsllc.com\/Home.html\">Pro HDR<\/a> (uses the new IOS HDR feature to increase the dynamic range and contrast in photos)<\/li>\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/sites.google.com\/site\/marclevoy\/\">Synthcam<\/a> (simulates shallow depth of field as provided by SLR cameras and contrast in low light for a particular object)<\/li>\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/www.cloudburstresearch.com\/autostitch\/autostitch.html\">Autostitch<\/a> (combines photos for wide angle view); <a href=\"http:\/\/echoone.com\/doubletake\/\">Doubletake<\/a> is a great counterpart on Mac OSX<\/li>\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/thebestcamera.com\/book.html\">Best Camera<\/a> (includes many different filters)<\/li>\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/hunter.pairsite.com\/theodolite\/\">Theodolite<\/a> (uses sensors to provide Heads Up Display of camera orientation)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Theodolite iPhone Heads Up Display (HUD) Technology review has a feature on smarter camera software that improves the pictures from simple smartphone cameras by making use of the processing available.
