Theodolite iPhone Heads Up Display (HUD)
Technology review has a feature on smarter camera software that improves the pictures from simple smartphone cameras by making use of the processing available. There are lots of examples of these type of apps for the iPhone and iPod Touch.
Example applications are:
- Camera+ (one of my favourites for its versatility)
- Pro HDR (uses the new IOS HDR feature to increase the dynamic range and contrast in photos)
- Synthcam (simulates shallow depth of field as provided by SLR cameras and contrast in low light for a particular object)
- Autostitch (combines photos for wide angle view); Doubletake is a great counterpart on Mac OSX
- Best Camera (includes many different filters)
- Theodolite (uses sensors to provide Heads Up Display of camera orientation)
